Getting Started Reviewing Flashcards

Read time: 2 minutes

Once you’ve created your flashcards, you’re ready to start learning.

Reviewing your flashcards improves your memory and confidence. This process is called active recall, a technique that is proven to help you retain more information and retrieve knowledge when you need it most in classes, exams, or discussions.

Use scheduling options to create a revision strategy, then review flashcards on your computer or phone, making it easy to fit in revision wherever you are.

Flashcard Confidence Scores

When you review your collections, you assign each flashcard a confidence score based on how well you know the content:

  • 1 star if you got the question incorrect, or didn’t know the material
  • 2 stars if you got the question partially correct or weren’t confident with the material
  • 3 stars if you got the question correct or were confident with the material

  5. When all flashcards have been reviewed, Luna will give you a breakdown of how many flashcards you assigned each confidence score, as well as a confidence score for the whole collection.
  6. If you want to review your 1 star or low-confidence score flashcards again, you can click ‘Retake’ to review these cards again.
  7. If you are finished reviewing your flashcards, click ‘Finish’ at the bottom of the breakdown to return to the Luna homepage.
